  Let me first start by saying I really like the doctor. I also appreciated the location as it is up the street from my home. It is very unfortunate when the staff clients have to deal with on a regular basis are the reason a business loses clients. I had a follow up appointment today and was turned away. I am 30 days postpartum. We are waiting on his card, but in the meantime, my son is still covered under my insurance for up to 6 weeks. The girl at the front in Navy blue scrubs argued that he is only covered for 30 days. I simply took a seat and called the state because I know she is wrong. As I thought, they confirmed that he was indeed still covered under my insurance. The girl still argued that he was not. Going a step further, I contacted my case worker, who also confirmed he is still covered, but said if she's giving me a hard time just get billed directly and we'll just send it to my insurance. Even still, she argued that he is not covered and told me I would have pay up front. At this point I am very irritated. Not only did she ignore the fact that both the state and case worker confirmed coverage, but during all of this she maintained the most limited communication I have ever experienced in this kind of situation. I stood at the desk while she ignored me for a full 2 minutes before she finally looked up their next appointment and confirmed my son's name. After she told me he was only covered for 30 days she went right back to what she was doing, offering no further assistance. After I called the state and went back to the desk she stated he only had 30 days and went back to what she was doing, still unhelpful. After I contacted the case worker she asked another girl to help me. This girl waited a minute before reluctantly taking out her ear buds and just looked at me. I explained everything that transpired and let her know the case worker also confirmed coverage. She didn't say a word. The girl I had been dealing with chimed in, still arguing 30 days and went back to what she was doing. At no point did she, or anyone else, offer any actual assistance in the matter. At no point did I raise my voice. I didn't argue. Each time I just excused myself to confirm what I already knew, my son has coverage. Part of me believes they would have been much more helpful if I spoke Spanish.
