  I had all my appointments with Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery between August 2013 and May 2014. I must say that Dr. Robertson was a very good doctor. If my review was based solely on him, I’d give a 5 star review. However, that was not my full experience. Starting out at the Woodbridge office: Visit #1 – My dentist referred me to Dr. Roberton, so I was only here for an “assessment” to see if he could give me an implant and ingraft before having my regular dentist give me a full mouth reconstruction. Things went well this visit. Visit #2– My appt was around 3pm. They called me at 11:00am and asked me to come in early (1:00 pm) or I wouldn’t be seen b/c the Dr. had to leave early that day. I begged my supervisor to let me go. (We were very busy and I had to miss a meeting in order to accommodate this change in schedule.) He was not happy, but let me go anyway. So I get there at 1:00pm. I didn’t get seen until 3:45, (after my original 3:00pm appt time). While I was waiting, I inquired with the staff behind the window what was going on, b/c I missed an appt at work to accommodate their change in schedule. They were very rude and said the doctor wasn’t ready for me and slammed the glass window in my face. Visit #3 – 1st part of surgery. I had to get a “driver” for this one. So before I went back, they wanted me to sign a blank financial statement, which I thought was odd. They demanded that I sign it, and I asked them if they’d fill in the blanks before I sign it. They said they can’t fill it in until afterward. They said they can’t let me go back without signing it. So after arguing with them and eventually a supervisor of some sort, they filled in the gaps and I signed it. I get back there and the dental assistant told me she was giving me a prescription mouth wash. I asked her if there was an over-the-counter mouth-wash b/c I wasn’t sure if my insurance would cover a prescription mouthwash. She said she’d talk to the doctor and get back to me after my surgery. (I figured they’d talk to my “driver” since I was under anesthesia.) I should’ve known better… No they didn’t. They never came back to talk to me about it (if they did I don’t remember b/c I was under anesthesia). I asked my “driver” later and she said they made no mention of it. In my “goodie bag” there was the prescription, but no other info on an over-the-counter mouthwash. I decided it was time to transfer offices (hoping they'd have more professional staff).
